Did you know that the trees in Canyon Park are not native, but were planted over the years? We've seen aerial photographs from the 1950s as the homes were being built, at which time there was just scrub brush covering what is now known as Canyon Park. In 1991, the City of Costa Mesa graded and planted the trees that now adorn the park. Mary captured these images as the park was being graded. If you have any historic photographs of the area, we'd love to see them.
